Jindřichův Hradec Narrow-gauge Railway
For over a century, two local railways with a gauge of only 760 mm, however, measuring an imposing 79 km, have contributed to the atmosphere of the Jindřichův Hradec region. Both tracks, Jindřichův Hradec – Nová Bystřice and Jindřichův Hradec – Obrataň, still serve their purpose – daily passenger and freight transport –day. However, they are also an important technical monument and one of the most visited tourist attractions in the region. The journey on the train, pulled by a one hundred-year old historic steam engine into the picturesque parts of Czech Canada, is not only a unique trip into the past but also an experience that cannot be missed.
•The railway company Jindřichohradecké místní dráhy a. s. offers the following on their railroad tracks:
•Regular motor and steam engine trains for the public
•Sightseeing trains to be ordered with either steam or motor engines
•Wedding trains, trains for private groups, for taking photographs and shooting films
